The early 911 were a great success, now still lasting since generations.
The time for a convertible was not yet in sight.
Buyers were all the more pleased with the steel sliding roof initiated by Harald Wagner, which was produced from spring 1965.
The first sliding roofs still had the water drains on the roof near the B-pillar. After the factory vacations in 1965, the water drain disappeared from the roof. In this very short period of time Porsche produced quite few 911 with sunroof. Therefore, these variants with the water drains on the roof are very rare today and enjoy great popularity.

This 911 offered here was delivered on 26.5.1965 and thus counts to the first 911 with sunroof.
2014 -2016 it was perfectly restored by the Porsche branch Berlin Potsdam and sold in spring 2016 to the current owner for 350.000€.
There it stood until today in his collection between Speedsters, 718, 550 and the like and was regularly brought to Porsche for inspection.
The mileage shows 312 kilometers after restoration, which explains the perfect condition.

The first delivery was in May 1965 at the dealer Krauss in Nuremberg with the following equipment features from the factory:

• Webasto 00 997
• Catacolor windshield
• Talbot mirrors left and right
• Blaupunkt radio “Frankfurt” No. 127 724
• 1 loudspeaker and antenna
• electric sunroof
• signal red
• leather black
• engine 907586 was replaced in April 1966

The Webasto is restored and installed, but for safety reasons not connected.
