This 1989 560 SL
It captivates by its Eleganz and holds also the examining view of an expert.
The light blue metallic paint shines deep and no rust through is visible.
The cream-colored interior, consisting of Mercedes’ own leatherette “MB-Tex”, shows no relevant signs of wear and the seats are, as usual from Mercedes, firm and comfortable. When it came to Germany, the current owner added the rear seats.
The soft top looks as good as new and even the hardtop, painted in body colour, shines.
The fully serviced engine starts right up and runs smooth as the Mercedes V8 should do and the automatic shifts precisely.
Driving this 560 is pure joy because you feel and hear no worn out parts and the short American transmission lets this roadster go quickly forward.
The aged wooden applications next to the gearstick, as you see in the pictures, have not been replaced on the pictures, but the original new spare parts come with the car.
The car was imported from California 4 years ago and completely rebuilt for the German market.
All technical components have been checked and if necessary repaired/renewed, which is confirmed by the invoices and Tüv receipts. The Carfax, resume from the USA, shows an unproblematic history of this 560 SL.
