Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3
The press praises this car and compares it with top-class sports cars at the time.
Despite unique comfort, the top speed is 220 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds.
The press calls the “6.3” : “the gentle force!”.
Easily recognizable by the H1 halogen twin headlamps, which eliminated the fog lamps in the light unit. Instead, separate round fog lights were mounted next to the grille.
Its robustness and reliability quickly aroused interest for use in touring championship motorsports and rallying.
The 6,526 units produced make the “6.3” a sought-after collector’s item today.
