A legend was born and it is small: MINI.
The full new concept astonished the world.
The Mini was the first car with a transversely mounted four-stroke inline four-cylinder engine and the transmission case served as an oil pan, bolted directly to the engine from below, sharing the engine oil with the engine.
Unlike other passenger cars, the Mini had a suspension with conical rubber blocks instead of steel springs, what was very hard, but the Mini had roadholding that was hard to beat at the time.
Niki Lauda reaped his first motorsport laurels in 1968 as an 18-year-old in a 1.3 Mini Cooper S at a number of hillclimb races. Even today Minis line up at the start of hillclimb races because of their favorable power-to-weight ratio.

This 1997 Mini Sportpack has been restored and only driven 3.700km since restauration.
The dark grey leather interieur has been renewed and appears in high quality.
The sportpack includes 13 inch alloy wheels, widening, sports suspension, leather interior, driver airbag, folding roof.
All techniques work perfect and the all over impression is very solid.
The MPI injection makes this very light car a real sporty and fun drivable car.
The 1.3 engine is one of the most appreciated engines because of its reliability in motorsports and comfort, even in daily use.
