The Fiat Panda is a small car from Fiat, whose first series was built over four million times between spring 1980 and autumn 2003. This makes it one of the brand’s most successful models. The Panda was created by designer Giorgio Giugiaro and conceived as a “household appliance on wheels”. 

The almost 700 kg heavy Panda (type designation: 141) was offered exclusively as a three-door model with a large tailgate from March 1980. A two-part folding roof was available on request. From 1986 onwards Fiat built the Panda with the newly developed “FIRE engines” (Fully Integrated Robotized Engine). These were processed and assembled by robots. They had fewer moving parts than the older OHV engine, a belt-driven overhead camshaft and a five bearing crankshaft.

 

This Panda was originally delivered to Bozen in 1991 and rarely driven. After its rare usage the first owner decided to give the little Car a complete overhaul. The Car was stripped apart and restored and rebuilt. Starting with the bare Chassis and changing all the wear parts. In 2016 the Berlin based photographer and wife of the famous Regisseur Wim Wenders found the Car and imported it to Germany. Here the Engine was updated with an Catalytic converter.

It was only driven for around 2500 km in the last years of Ownership. 

Throughout the Car are no Signs of Rust or other damages. Everything is in working order. The Rear Soft Top is missing a latch. 

The Person who wins the auction is not only the new happy owner of this Design Kult Object, the Car is also invited to the annual Fiat Panda Meeting in St.Moritz.

ich muss anmerken, daß die heckklappe beim 1991er panda 4×4 trecking noch glatt war und auch alle shriftzzüge am wagen fehlen. auch der unterboden hat keinen schwarzen unterbodenschutz ab werk. schade, daß diese chancen bei einer vollrestaurierung vergeben wurden 🙁

Laut Dokumenten wurde er Ende 1991 so ausgeliefert. Davor hatte er das Steyer Auch Logo. Denke das nach den Sommerferien der Wechsel war. Dokumente dazu sind rar. Gerne weitere Info. Welche Schriftzüge? Es war bei der Restaurierung nicht der Fokus den Werkszustand wieder zu erreichen, sondern ihn für die nächsten Jahre gut zu machen. Das Versäumnis des Werks Unterbodenschutz drauf zu geben ist wahrscheinlich mit ein Grund warum es nicht mehr viele Pandas mit wenig Rost gibt.

habe gerade einen ende 1993 er trekking gekauft, ohne geprägte klappe. er ist 25tsd km gelaufen und nachlackierungsfrei. klappe also die erste. die trekking schriftzüge auf vder c säule meine ich 🙂
