The Citroën 2CV (French Deux chevaux “two horsepower”), usually called Ente in Germany and Austria and Döschwo in Switzerland, was a popular model of the car manufacturer Citroën with an air-cooled two-cylinder four-stroke boxer engine and front-wheel drive.
Between the summer of 1949 and mid-1990, 3,868,631 four-door saloons and 1,246,335 vans (“Kastenente”) were produced. From 1960 to 1968 (and 1971), 694 of the Sahara “4×4” version with two engines and four-wheel drive were built, which had been introduced in 1958 and was also called the “Bimoteur”.
The previous owner found the Car as a One Owner Car in 2014 in the countryside of Drôme in France. It was parked in a Barn, inside with grains of wheat, old candles, and a lucky horseshoe!
It was secured and lightly overhauled.
Here are some pictures from the Car when it was registered at the “LE CLUB DES 2CV A CAPOT ONDULE“
The 2CV seems to be built on 12 April 1960.
It was delivered with optional equipment. The 2CV has a trunk door opening system, which opens the rear window and thus the rear part of the bonnet.
This Citroen 2CV is in very original Condition and was well maintained before it was bought by a German Collector. Necessary parts were overhauled like the seat covers. It runs nice and smoothly, well.., like a Citroen 2CV should.
