Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 series 2

The body of the 330 GT 2+2 was designed by Pininfarina, as is usual for Ferrari, but designed by the US American Tom Tjaarda. The silhouette is considered harmonious and timeless.

The 2nd series from 1965 to 1967 received some striking changes such as the renunciation of the “Chinese Eyes”. Instead, the cars now had round individual headlights, large side vents between the front wheel arches and the door edges, and alloy wheels. Doors and hoods were made of aluminum.

This engine, known internally as the Tipo 209, had a displacement of 3967 cc. The volume of a single cylinder was close to 330 cm³. The model designation “330” of all vehicles with the Tipo 209 engine was derived from this value.

The Series 2 received a five-speed transmission instead of the previously used four-speed unit with overdrive.
