During the early 90ties Porsche decided to develop support Vehicles for their Rally and Racing Efforts. They decided to implant a Porsche 3.2 l Engine and upgraded the Car with Porsche Technic.
This VW T3 aimed the same concept. The Base Car was delivered and registered in early 1984. Supposedly the Car was originally delivered in red.
As early as 1987 the conversion took place and was done in Germany. A Porsche 3.0 SC engine was implanted, a Porsche 915 Transmission was added and the Fuchswheels were fitted. The Suspension came from Projectzwo as well as the body Panels.
Everything was registered and made street legal in Germany. When the current owner found the Car it was already painted in Postyellow.
As he is a kid to the eighties what else can you do with an already yellow T3. Give it the iconic look to the TV Show Magnum P.I. This was done with adhesive foil which could be removed easily.
The Car is not only street legal in Germany, but also in Austria, where it is currently registered.
The mechanic components are all in working order, though the Interior needs further attention and can be finished to ones desires. Original Porsche Seats are included for the Driver and the Passenger. Door handles, Rear Bumper , are all included in the sale.

The Car is also fitted with a Tow Hook from Westfalia.
The Body is very straight and we did not find any places which are rusted. Als did we not find any signs of an accident. The paint thickness is good, when you think that it had one layer of yellow over the original red and than the added foil.
