One thing is for sure: the Beetle is an undisputed popular car and it runs… and runs… and runs… and runs…

Getyourclassic offers you here a rare Type 11 from 1976. There were very few that were built in Germany with the short front car, also called 1200, with a 1600 engine with 50 hp. Also, these Beetles had the more straightforward disc brakes on the front axle ex factory.

The car was bought new by a lady, a teacher, and registered on 25/03/1976.

Subsequently, the maintenance work was performed regularly in a VW workshop.

The last entry was on 16.06.1992 at 37.466 km.

The Volkswagen car dealer then took the Beetle in payment on 25.09.1995 and sold the lady a new Golf III.

The Beetle was then registered from 21.03.1997 to 16.04.1997 at the VW-dealership, but not driven.

This was done because at that time, if a vehicle was deregistered for more than 2 years, an expert opinion and a new vehicle registration certificate had to be issued.

The car then became the property of the former owner of the car dealership and was stored in a garage or later in a hall for the whole time.

To maintain the car, work was carried out over the years and the Beetle was moved now and then, but only in good weather, for maintenance.

The work done over the years is compiled from internal workshop invoices, which are still available.

In the documents there is also the service book with all the stamps to the respective regular inspections at VW, which the lady (1st owner) has had done regularly.

The car is basically in its first paint and has no rust through. On all 4 fenders there are slight quirks, scratches, etc., which were partially repainted by the first owner with a spray can to protect the fenders from corrosion.

• 2 shock absorbers in front renewed
• Intake hoses renewed
• Front axle lubricated

• Carburetor cleaned in ultrasonic bath, gaskets and diaphragms replaced

TÜV acceptance, H-certificate is feasible on request.
