In 1989, Porsche presented a limited-edition 911 in commemoration of the great 356 Speedsters of the 1950s. Based on the 3.2-litre 911 Carrera, the new Speedster was built on a specified Turbo chassis whose equipment included perforated brake discs in conjunction with powerful four-piston brake callipers.

The model was given a new, lightweight body in the unmistakable wide-body turbo style with a beefy rear end and a flatter windscreen to go with it. The rear seats had to give way, and instead the 911 was fitted with a hump-shaped hard trim to stow the retractable soft top underneath.

With only 72 km on the meter, almost virgin.
Only around 2,103 examples of this Porsche 911 Speedster were built worldwide, giving this special model a particularly rare value. However, this Speedster, which is over 30 years old, has another special feature: It has hardly been driven at all. There are just 72 of them on the clock.
This one-of-a-kind Porsche 911 Speedster was delivered to its first owner by the Munich sports car centre MAHAG on 24 July 1989. It was only moved 68 km before being professionally stored for the next 30 years. The paintwork is in traditional Indian Red G1 and the interior with black leather. Other factory equipment included a stronger battery, shortened gear lever and sports seats. For originality reasons, the original tyres are still fitted to the car. All documents including the new car invoice and the first vehicle registration are available.
The car has never been registered, so the original German registration certificate has no entry.
The last Speedster left the production line in July 1989. The selling price at that time was 112,000 DM.
This immaculate Speedster is accident free and still wears its first paint as you can see in the paint thickness protocol.
