BMW Alpina

Alpina was active in BMW tuning and motorsports since the 1960s and became a manufacturer of passenger cars based on BMW AG products in 1978.

Alpina does not dismantle finished cars and build them up according to its own ideas, but rather receives finished bodies from the factory, individually specified, depending on whether a B3 with six or a B8 with eight cylinders is to be created later.
The finished engine blocks come from the BMW plant in Graz, and the assembly of the machines is meticulously done by hand. As a final product, Alpina traditionally presents a car that has nothing to do with Bovensiepen’s most hated vocabulary, tuning, and shows up in balance and quality.

1996 Alpina released the B3 upgrade with the 3.2 liter engine on the basis of the E36.

Test magazines gush with praise and come to a common conclusion: “The B3 3.2 is in no way inferior to the M3 and offers even greater comfort!”
Auto Motor und Sport awards it 5 stars.
Alpina used the robust M50 (B25TÜ) cast iron engine for the 3.2 engine, which is still very popular and reliable today.
Externally, Alpina models are often recognizable by the special Alpina wheels with 20 spokes.
Alpina is one of the high performance car builders that are considered durable and qualitative since decades.
Special series like this offered B3 3.2 are among the sought-after collector vehicles.
The BMW archives say that only 85 units of this offered model have been built what makes this B3 3.2 a definite rare car.

This original BMW Alpina B3 3,2 is number 80 of 85 ever built.
The Alpina shows up in very shiny first paint titan silver 354, no damaged Alpina rims, very nice interieur and the original engine, as it left the factory. It even has a full documented history of service and ownership and the original golden Alpina decor still shines, which suggests exclusively hand wash and underlines the perfect originality of this beauty.

It was first delivered to Japan to the first and only owner in Japan who kept it until 2017.
During that time he took very much care and brought the Alpina to a full service every year.
The second owner, a well known Alpina Specialist, brought it to Germany and treated the car as pedantically as the first owner and sold it to the now selling third owner. A Porsche specialist and pedant like the first 2 owners.

All the technology works perfectly and the general state of maintenance is excellent. The B3 3.2 engine is one of the most loved engines during that time and still today, because of its reliability, sportiness and comfort. The switchtronic works precisely.
The car appears in year car condition and even the known spots on the E36 appear rust free as you can see in the pictures. Watching the unwelded and original floors, it seems the car has never seen snow or salt. The Tüv is not renewed because it will be redone before handover. The last service showed that a flawless Tüv report is to be expected.
The original BMW VIN, as Alpina always does, has been “zeroed out” by Alpina and the Alpina VIN shows that this car offered here is number 80 of 85 Alpina B3 3,2 models ever built.
It is an absolute collector car, which really brings “Freude am Fahren”.
