Goggomobil 250 TS Coupé

“Darling of the gods” is the title of the 1957 advertisement for the small car produced by Hans Glas GmbH.

When motorcycle manufacturers were in crisis in the 1950s because customers demanded “a roof over their heads,” the agricultural machinery manufacturer Glas developed the Goggomobil until it was presented in 1954.
Even today, almost 60 years after its debut, the body of the Goggo coupe still has its appeal. Smooth surfaces, clean lines, the distinctive panoramic rear window and the taillights shaped as small tail fins make the Goggo TS unmistakable. The engine and transmission technology is not very susceptible to this and is easily repairable with the help of advice from the clubs and thanks to a good supply of spare parts.
For a Goggo TS 250, the new price at that time 3722 Marks, the market values in condition 2 are around 11,000 Euro.

This 1967 Goggo 250 TS Coupé comes with traceable history and even shows the new car invoice from back then and the first “Pappbrief”. It has been registered to the last 4th owner, who drove this Goggo regularly to weddings, etc. Today TÜV has expired. and needs to be renewed. Electrical parts work, the gearbox shifts, and the brakes work fine. There are slight traces of oil sweat but no leakage. The interior seats had been reupholstered once and the dashboard shows some little cracks and usage. The engine starts right up and runs reliable, although the battery needed a little kick-start. The floor shows no rust through, although light rust is visible on the chassis. This cute little car is still a reliable driver as back then, especially in those days where parking lots are rare downtown.
