Oldtimer-Plattform: Classic Trader holt Auktionsprofi

Als “Senior Expert Classic Trader Auctions” soll Michael Gross das junge Geschäft mit Oldtimer-Versteigerungen auf dem Online-Marktplatz ausbauen.


Classic Trader hat sich die Dienste von Michael Gross gesichert. Der Branchenprofi soll das junge Geschäft mit Fahrzeugversteigerungen auf dem Online-Marktplatz weiterentwickeln. In seiner neuen Position als “Senior Expert Classic Trader Auctions” berichtet er direkt an die Geschäftsführer Torsten Claus und Christian Plagemann, wie das Unternehmen in Berlin bekannt gab.

Gross ist seit über zehn Jahren im Markt für klassische Autos aktiv. Zunächst etablierte er beim Auktionsanbieter Auctionata die Classic Cars-Sparte, anschließend wirkte er bei ChromeCars im Klassiker-Handel und beim Ausbau der Sammlung mit. 2020 gründete Gross das mittlerweile eingestellte Online-Auktionshaus getyourclassic, spezialisiert auf ausgefallene Modelle und Einzelstücke. 

Diese Fähigkeiten, spannende Fahrzeuge zu akquirieren und weitere Zielgruppen als Bieter und potenzielle Käufer zu gewinnen, sollen nun auch bei Classic Trader zum Tragen kommen. “Die hohe Reichweite einer gesetzten Marke wie Classic Trader hat sehr zu einem erfolgreichen Start der Online-Auktionen beigetragen, nun gilt es auch personell die nächsten Schritte zu gehen”, sagte Gründer Plagemann. 

Classic Trader ging vor zehn Jahren als europäischer Marktplatz für Old- und Youngtimer an den Start. Seit Juli 2024 sind erstmals Online-Auktionen auf der Plattform möglich (wir berichteten). Plagemann: “Die Schwerpunkte auf Transparenz und Sicherheit wurden vom Markt sehr gut angenommen, zahlreiche erfolgreiche Versteigerungen bestätigen den eingeschlagenen Weg.” Er sei davon überzeugt, dass “wir mit Michael Gross genau den richtigen Mann zum richtigen Zeitpunkt für uns gewinnen konnten, um Classic Trader Online-Auktionen erfolgreich zu skalieren”.
