Baur became known for its conversions of BMW vehicles. Some of these were produced for official sale by BMW dealers, as was the BMW 2002 series.

In contrast to the BMW factory convertibles, Baur conversions are not full convertibles, as the window frames are retained and there is a roll bar. There is a sturdy targa roof above the driver and front passenger seats, which can be stowed in a space-saving holder in the trunk. The rear part of the roof is a classic folding top with a plastic window.

Baur convertibles are rarely found nowadays.

This offered 2002 Baur left the factory in golf yellow but the current owner had it repainted in white years ago.

It shows up in pretty nice condition, watching the interieur end the engine compartment. The engine (as you see in the video) starts right up and runs smooth and powerfull. Just a couple of years ago the complete technique was overhauled and all works just fine.

In the moment there are 2 double Weber Carburators mounted includen an especial exhaust manifold.
The original carbs and manifold are also present and come with the car.

Watching it from below you see no rust coming through.
Even a close look shows no big trouble.
