The 993 is considered the most sophisticated and best 911 with an air-cooled boxer engine. As it is the last Porsche 911 with an air-cooled engine, it has a special status in fan circles and enthusiastic prices are now paid for 993s.
Maintenance costs for the 993 are lower than for its predecessors, which has earned it a reputation as a particularly reliable 911.

This 993 convertible appears to be in solid condition.
It has been partially repainted with low paint thickness, showing that it was done for cosmetic reasons and is in excellent condition.
Looking at the undercarriage, you can’t see any signs of deformation from an accident. The wheels are the R+H 911 Turbo Look 19″ alloy wheels and the suspension is the Terra 81-007, both are TUV approved and registered in the papers. The brakes work perfectly.
The engine has been serviced, starts right up and runs smooth as it should. Looking at the engine, you can see a little sweaty but not leaking oil around the chain chambers, but no oil drips. The hydros work fine, even after a cold start. The Tiptronic works smoothly and shifts directly, as it should. The sound package exhaust sounds sporty and not overbearing. Axles and steering show no play. The convertible top’s ECU has been reworked as part of the recall, so no problems are expected. The current soft top cover shows minor, light damage. The seller is including a new soft top cover with the purchase.
The original radio is gone and has been replaced with a new one including navigation system.
The AC control unit works but should be overhauled in the near future. There are professional repair shops in Germany that know the typical ailments of these units. You can buy it new from Porsche for about 2000€ or have it professionally repaired for about 350€.
This 993 is in solid and reliable condition, except for a few minor things, as far as the elementary basics are concerned.
The Tüv is renewed with pleasure before the handing over.
