Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

Ghia designed it. Karmann Coach Works built it. And Volkswagen powered it. The result was a dependable, economical Volkswagen on the inside and a beautiful, sporty looking car on the outside.

This Volkswagen Karmann Ghia was produced in 1974, which was the last year of production. The car was imported from the USA.

It was in very good body condition, but overall it needed restoration. The seller carried out a complete restoration of the car in his own restoration shop. The car was completely stripped down and the necessary bodywork was carried out. Afterwards, it was cleaned of old varnish with corundum and epoxy or primer was put on to protect against corrosion. The car was then painted in its original colour in which it left the factory.

The upholstery is entirely new, sewn in a professional upholstery shop.
The engine did not require an overhaul, however, it was dismantled, checked and sealed by the seller, as well as the gearbox. The suspension and steering had a complete restoration and replacement of worn elements. The entire electrical installation is new. A radio from 1974 was installed. The headlights are new, the rear lamps are adapted – the turn signals glow yellow. The tires are new, 165 R15. All door seals, windows, etc. are new. The bumpers and bumper mounts are new. Since the completion of the restoration, The car was driven about 90 kilometres . It now looks and drives like new. The car is registered and insured since November 2022.
